Co-op Wellbeing Index

CAMPAIGN:CO-OP COMMUNITY WELLBEING INDEX
DELIVERABLES:CREATIVE, UX DESIGN, VIDEO, WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT

THE CHALLENGE

The Co-op Community Wellbeing Index has been developed as a way of communities across the UK to see levels of health and wellbeing in their area. The index is based on 46 key data points such as culture, health, relationships, environment and employment, giving each community a score out of 100 – and suggestions on how to improve it. Our challenge was to bring this data to life in an engaging way, making the data meaningful for the visitor and making it actionable, so every visitor saw the opportunity to improve wellbeing in their area.

APPROACH

The page experience and the concept of the Wellbeing score was brought to life in an animated video, explaining what the score is and how it has been calculated. There are clear signposts to encourage users to enter their post code and explore the index further.

The index itself was brought to life in a tool which categorised key data points by colour, gave the user the ability to compare their areas scores against the national average and highlighted communities near them and highlights from their area.

OUTCOME

The end result was an interactive website that made a huge amount of data feel relevant and tailored to every site visitor.

We worked hard to make it as easy as possible for someone to type in their postcode, and find local maps, results, and inspiring stories – all centred around their local community.

Most importantly, the Community Wellbeing Index is reflective of the Co-op brands focus on the communities and customer it serves, helping people locally make the places they live better.
