Each year, The Drum’s Social Buzz Awards celebrate the very best in social media communications, recognising those who are utilising social media to market themselves in innovative and exciting ways. Rewarding the most effective campaigns and strategies within each industry, the awards are a fantastic opportunity for those causing a stir with their social media marketing campaigns to come together and celebrate the best in the business.
#LoveThisPlace, which has already been named Digital Marketing Campaign of the Year at the PR and Marketing Awards for Insurance, has been shortlisted for the Social Buzz Awards’ Best Financial Sector Social Media Strategy/Campaign! Designed to promote Co-op Insurance’s home insurance product, the concept for #LoveThisPlace was focused on rediscovering our love for where we live.
Using emotive video content featuring members of the public from all across the UK, the first stage of the campaign showcased why people love their hometowns. The second stage of the campaign involved creating an interactive hub which allowed Co-op Insurance’s social audience to upload photos of where they live to a dynamic mosaic of the UK.
