Encouraging higher conversion rates in a competitive sector

THE CHALLENGE

We were approached by Study and Sport Experiences (SSE), to refresh their websites in order to better showcase their range of fantastic tours for students and youth clubs across the UK – as well as their partnerships with brands like Disneyland® Paris, England Netball, Wimbledon and Warner Bros Studios.

APPROACH

Having already completed successful PPC activity for SSE, as well as two other refreshed websites for SSE’s sister companies, we had set a precedent for combining great design with strategic reasoning.

When it came to this project, the first stage was for our creative teams to create wireframes for the new site following strict Disney® brand guidelines, and with the SSE target audience’s UX in mind.

Once these were approved by the brands, it was time for our dev teams to move onto the build stage.

OUTCOME

The outcome was two fantastic websites which showcased the best of SSE’s portfolio of experiences, while creating a space for teachers and coaches to find out everything they need to know about SSE school and sports trips. Our marker of success was measured by conversions, which showed a huge increase following the refresh.

Comparing two of the same quarters from 2018 and 2019, we saw a 161% increase in conversions rates for the Study Experiences website, and a 205% increase for that of Sport Experiences.
