My first two weeks interning at Delineo

Time flies when you’re having fun, right?

With two of my six weeks interning here at Delineo already over, I decided to reflect on some of the expectations vs. reality of interning for an agency, what I’ve learnt so far and what I think makes Delineo stand out.

When applying for an internship, I envisioned my summer stood by the kettle, knowing everyone’s tea preferences like the back of my hand. Luckily I couldn’t have been more wrong. Already within two weeks I have been given opportunities to write case studies, develop content strategies and gain insight into competitor analysis research, all while soaking up the day to day goings-on of a fast paced digital agency and learning exactly how things get done!

Due to not having any previous experience in a digital agency (and so not having a clue as to which path I hope to take!) I was lucky enough to be offered a position in which allows me to help out in all areas, work on various tasks and collaborate with numerous people in different departments. All while working towards building the marketing strategy of Delineo itself.

Interning here at Delineo has been a breath of fresh air. I enjoy not knowing what it is I will be doing each day and come to work excited for what’s ahead. Delineo’s Digital First manifesto really shines through the entirety of the agency; it’s clear that the engagement Delineo develops between client and consumer is consistently forward thinking and has user behaviour as the focus. This is a concept that really intrigued me to get in touch with Delineo, as no other agency portrayed human behaviour as being a crucial element in creating campaigns and content.

Being a part of an agency with under 50 employees has allowed me to meet everyone here and really appreciate the ‘work hard, play hard’ ethos. I’ve been made to feel extremely welcomed by the team and look forward to progressing in the coming month!
