East Lancashire Hospice

Challenge:

East Lancashire Hospice tasked us with challenging the perception that hospices are all doom and gloom and they are just a place to go to die.

Approach:

After spending time in the home, we quickly found the best way to dispel the preconceived idea is by bringing to life what life is really like in a hospice. So, we created a simple video which showed off a whole host of imagery from around the grounds in a fast, fun and energetic piece of film.

Then we needed to get it in front of the right people – from patients and families to fundraisers. Social media was the obvious choice, giving us the platform to not only share our story, but to engage with other communities online.

The final element of the campaign was a dedicated landing page that provided a focus point for contact and information requests.

Outcome:

In the first three months following the launch, the video received over 6,000 views, more than 190 shares on Facebook and a huge amount of support from the online community.
