Coffee chain Costa revealed their very first television advert this week. The promotion, which features below, is titled ‘monkeys and typewriters’.
Carlsberg and Sky have teamed up to offer customers the chance to win a Sky 3D package. The on-pack promotion will run until January.
Tourism Ireland is reviewing its current tagline ‘Go where Ireland takes you’ after increasing its advertising budget. The organisation is keen to investigate different brand positioning in the upcoming months.

Google has released Google Goggles, its visual search tool, for the iPhone. The feature allows users to search the internet via photographs captured on their mobile device.
4iP, the digital investment arm of Channel 4, is set to be axed. The service is being closed after the channel restructured its online divisions.
UK mobile search traffic rose by 247 per cent over the year, according to a new report. Despite the increase of traffic, mobile browsing accounts for only 3 per cent of all online use in the UK.
The week in social media
The Social Network, a film based on the creation of Facebook, has topped the US box office on its opening weekend with $23 million in ticket sales. The film follows the site’s creator, Mark Zuckerberg during his university days.
Twitter founder Evan Williams revealed he is stepping down as CEO of the company in order to concentrate on product strategy. He will be replaced by the current Chief Operating Officer Dick Costolo.
Facebook revealed a new-look groups option this week. The feature will allow users to easily share information and media with small groups of contacts.
The week at Delineo
We proudly revealed our brand development work for JP Juices, the fairtrade juice manufacturer. Our talented creative team were asked to design a new brand identity for the local company, eventually producing work that reflected the values and mission statement of the brand. Well done to everyone involved.
In anticipation of the Manchester Blog Awards nominations, Delineo released its ‘State of the Manchester Blogosphere’ report. The research looked at over 200 blogs to produce a report of the city’s blogging scene.
On Sunday, the athletes of Delineo strap on their shin pads for the Creative Cup, a tournament to decide the best footballing agency in the North West. Naturally, we’ll have the report of their triumphant victory on Monday.
