Ever referred to something as being like Marmite? It’s become such a strong brand and strapline that it’s almost made it into the dictionary. The new ad campaign to launch the Marmite Cereal Bar plays on the strength of the ‘love it or hate it’ brand, but takes it a stage further by encompassing some of those timeless advertising cliches – the child cuddling up with a lovely soft towel, the sexy man in the shower and the stick thin pouty perfume model. Keep a look out for the ‘spoof’ Marmite products, coming to a billboard near you!
