<p>With our continuing work on The Co-operative Travel account, <a href="http://www.delineo.com">Manchester-based marketing agency</a> Delineo were recently tasked to promote the deals on offer this year through national press advertising for a number of cruise ship deals.</p>
<p>The overall aim of the campaign was to advertise The Co-operative Travel’s offers on some great value cruises for 2011 and 2012, accompanied with a large emphasis on the security and financial benefits of booking with them. To achieve this, Delineo produced half-page press advert for insertion in the Daily Express and a full-page press advert to be included in the Daily Mirror, both of which featured on Saturday 16<sup>th</sup> July 2011 in order to communicate a number of great-value cruises with P&amp;O and Princess.</p>
<p>The target audience focussed on last-minute bookers who are still yet to book a cruise for departure this year, but also the full page advert highlighted some exclusive offers for early booking, for departure in 2012 to attract further interest.</p>
<p>With such an emphasis placed on the security and customer confidence within the campaign, all Co-operative Travel holidays and cruises are ATOL and ABTA protected and as a company The Co-operative have over 150 years of experience and this new campaign has certainly differentiated The Co-operative Travel from their competitors. In addition, this further reassures customers who have booked with them about the security of their booking and The Co-operative are a name they can trust.</p>

<p><a href="http://www.delineo.com">Manchester based Marketing Agency</a> Delineo latest challenge was to design a business recruitment campaign with accompanying web and print materials for IT equipment distributor <a href="http://www.utopiatechnology.co.uk/default.aspx"target=”_blank”>Utopia</a>. Utopia’s service offering incorporates all varieties of IT components such as servers, gateways, storage solutions etc…</p>
<p>The main aim of this business recruitment campaign launch is to attract new resellers to become Utopia customers and purchase the Huawei products. The graphics and message used showcase how Utopia are different from any other type of distributor and it was imperative to communicate they are not main stream, nor corporate and strive to be more unique in their service offering.</p>
<p>Another important element of this campaign is to raise awareness that Utopia is the sole European distributor for Huawei products, one of the world’s largest and fastest growing companies and within the Top 5 most innovative companies in the world.</p>
<p>With regards to the <a href="http://www.delineo.com/category/people/graphic-design/" title="Our Creative team">creative</a> for the co-branded campaign promoting Utopia and <a href="http://www.huawei.com/uk/"target=”_blank”>Huawei</a>, graffiti artists were used for Utopia and the message ‘Strength in numbers’ for Huawei. Both of the visuals work well together but were also carefully designed allowing each campaign to work well in isolation.</p>
<p>The campaign covers traditional, print advertising in industry magazines such as <a href="http://www.channelweb.co.uk/"target=”_blank”>CRN</a> and <a href="http://www.commsbusiness.co.uk/"target=”_blank”>Comms Business</a>, as well as a website redesign, online advertising banners and eshots. In addition, a brochure, posters and banners were created for Utopia to distribute at various meetings and events, reinforcing the core advertising messages.</p>

<p><a href="http://www.delineo.com">Manchester advertising agency</a> Delineo were recently challenged with refreshing the existing monthly customer magazine for bakery product supplier <a href="http://www.bakonw.co.uk/ ">Bako</a>. Feedback suggested the ‘old style’ lacked clear company branding and was becoming lost in a crowded marketplace due to its similarity to other food magazines in the sector.</p>
<p>Our solution was to bring <a href="http://www.bakonw.co.uk/ ">Bako</a> to the fore; creating a clear, consistent message that the company are the one-stop shop for all of these catering goods. With this in mind, the new magazine, entitled ‘<strong>Bakers Business</strong>’ communicates the monthly offers to business partners with special deals on several of the product ranges.  To broadcast this message further, the ‘offerings’ were  transferred to the Bako style, making it clear for all on the customer journey that Bako is the reseller for these products.</p>
<p>The products on offer include individual ingredients to ready-to-sell items, such as donuts and cakes, as well as other branded products. The magazine is also used as a vehicle to highlight and further communicate the new product offerings to the customer.  This target audience includes bakeries, catering firms and companies within the food industry.</p>

<p>To celebrate the  Easter festivities, the south-western coffee chain Coffee #1 have launched a new  Facebook competition with support from the digital arm of <a href="http://www.delineo.com">Manchester advertising agency</a> Delineo. The campaign, designed to engage with their 1,800 strong  community, has been produced in order to help promote the brand within its target market.</p>
<p>The competition, which is to run until Easter Sunday, gives fans the chance to win an organic  Montezuma&#8217;s Easter Egg, as well as two free Coffee #1 Vouchers every day. The contest sees users search for an Easter Egg on the <a href="http://www.facebook.com/coffeenumber1">Coffee #1 Facebook page</a> one lucky user will be selected, from those who located the egg, to win the prize.</p>
<p>The Coffee #1 Easter  egg campaign follows on from the successful &#8216;Coffee-mas&#8217; competition, also  managed by Delineo. This contest resulted in a 37 per cent growth in Facebook fans over one month, as well as 3,500 unique views to the Coffee #1 website.</p>
<p>James Shapland, founder of Coffee #1, said this about Delineo&#8217;s management of the company&#8217;s social media:</p>
<p>&#8220;The return on our investment is undeniable – better customer communication, greater brand awareness and yes, more coffee ordered on the shop floor.&#8221;</p>

<p>The world’s largest manufacturer of household water softeners and drinking water filters has recently launched its ‘The Joy of Ecowater’ consumer marketing campaign.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.delineo.com">Manchester marketing agency</a> Delineo was tasked to create an engaging consumer campaign that highlights the benefits of having an Ecowater system in the home and the benefits of soft water to the family.</p>
<p>The key message &#8220;The Joy of Ecowater&#8221; is supported by a number of different executions that show each member of a family enjoying water in different ways.</p>
<p>Each execution highlights a benefit of soft water for that person. Whether it’s a baby in bath, where softer water is kinder to their skin or simply using the dishwasher, knowing softer water will stop lime scale build up. The friendly imagery and reassuring tone of voice embraces everything about experiencing “The Joy of Ecowater”.</p>

<p>The Co-operative’s <a href="http://www.co-operative.coop/corporate/ethicsinaction/communities/charityoftheyear/" target="_blank">Charity of the Year</a> has officially launched with a challenging fundraising target of £5 million for its 2011 charity partners Mencap and ENABLE Scotland.</p>
<p>Delineo is now in its fifth year of supporting the Charity of the Year and is integral to the entire fundraising process. The <a href="http://www.delineo.com">Manchester Marketing agency’s</a> involvement started with an initial voting phase in August 2010, whereby Co-operative staff across all the businesses were invited to nominate their preferred charity from a shortlist. For this stage Delineo developed offline and online communication to drive the voting process.</p>
<p>Following the succesful selection of Mencap and ENABLE Scotland, Delineo has been instrumental in setting the creative style and tone of voice for the roll out, creating a unique identity for the new Charity of the Year partnership.</p>
<p>This has involved exploring how the creative engages effectively through internal comms for staff, fundraising materials, and consumer facing business channels, namely The Co-operative Food in-store POS.</p>
<p>The focus of all the marketing comms is around the hero image of Ben and his partner, which is very emotive and uplifting.  This look and feel remains consistent across the website, 96 sheet billboard, POS and exhibition pieces that have all recently been rolled out.</p>
<p>Integrated campaign elements include printed literature, POS, video, the main website, as well as a bespoke microsite for <a href="http://www.co-operative.coop/santadash" target="_blank">Santa Dash</a> (one of the biggest fundraising events in the calendar), exhibition display materials, outdoor media and merchandise.</p>

So when Timberland commissioned <a href="http://www.portfoliodesign.net/" target="_blank">Bolton marketing agency</a>, Portfolio to produce their brand new staff magazine in just three weeks it felt more than confident it could carry it off.</p>
<p>Featuring 20 pages of articles covering everything from upcoming campaigns to new store openings, the magazine not only needed designing but copywriting from scratch before being printed and delivered to Timberland stores and staff in time for the Fall 2010 trading period.</p>
<p>In keeping with the adventurous spirit of the brand, the magazine is called Explore and is designed to communicate clearly and concisely to all Timberland UK staff, getting them onboard with and excited about forthcoming promotions and other activity.</p>
<p>With the first edition successfully under its belt, the Portfolio team is already looking forward to tackling the next one and producing another great piece of work for this great outdoors brand.</p>

<p>In order to encourage consumers to buy travel money from The Co-operative Travel the campaign worked on a number of levels conveying holidays, simplicity, convenience and The World Cup.</p>

<p>The objective of the Brocade campaign is to encourage Bell Micro&#8217;s sales team and its reseller channel to upsell the brand by keeping Brocade at the forefront of their minds, incentivising them to make Brocade their vendor of choice for networking solutions due to its competitive advantages and to increase own-label sales.</p>
<p>This visually strong campaign spans across email, online and sales support material and has been successful in; raising brand awareness, increase in sales and boosting partner recruitment.  The campaign has now been rolled out in four European countries.</p>

<p>As the days tick down to the 15th Manchester Jazz Festival (23-31 July), the festival branding is looking particularly vibrant thanks to a recent rebrand by Delineo&#8217;s Bolton office <a href="http://www.portfoliodesign.net/" target="_blank">Portfolio</a>.</p>
<p>To win the pitch, we took the normal approach of getting under the skin of the job and hit the streets to ask people what they thought of Jazz and the festival:</p>

<p>From our research and a day with jazz on Spotify, we came up with the <strong>*</strong> concept as people are open to learn more about jazz.  The use of an asterisk challenges people’s perception of jazz, alerts them to the wide varieties of music that falls under the jazz banner and asks them to: <strong>find your jazz*</strong></p>
<p>With a brochure, website, t-shirts and stationery already in the post.. it’s time to knuckle down to the final banners before the saxophones start!</p>
